As of July 6th, 2020, we have re-opened our community program offices and are back to providing in-person counselling, advocacy and support. We have put many safeguards in place to address the COVID-19 situation. We are committed to the health and safety of our clients, staff, volunteers and community and at this time have taken the following immediate measures:
Our doors at The Transition House are open as are our phone lines if you or someone you care about is experiencing violence and abuse. Even during these difficult times, precautions, heightened screening and strict sanitation procedures have been put in place to keep you and your family safe and healthy during your stay.
The 24-Hour Crisis and Information Line, 250.542.1122, continues to be staffed around the clock not only for women experiencing violence but for anyone who might have questions or concerns about a friend, family member, colleague or neighbour regarding domestic violence and abuse.
The Community Programs & Administration Office is open by appointment only. Support and phone counselling appointments are available. Clients can contact their counsellor directly or through the Office, 250-558-3850, Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am-4:30 pm.
Our mission is to help families. Right now, more than ever, families need help. The abuse is not going to stop; a victim’s trauma is not going to be put on hold while this pandemic is happening. We are coming up with creative ways to support women and children as we all navigate through these uncertain times.
We are here to help and support you. If you have questions, please reach out to adminassist@archwaysociety.ca
Let’s take care of each other, in times of uncertainty, kindness, and humanity matter the most!
