Summer Student – Grounds and Facilities Assistant

The Grounds and Facilities Assistant works in consultation/collaboration with the Building Maintenance Coordinator, and helps with upkeep and repairs to grounds, buildings, and equipment in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, painting and grounds keeping. Work will take place at various locations.

 

Hours of work: 12 weeks; 35 hours/week
Location: Vernon
Wage: $18/hr

Part-Time Victim Services Team Lead

The Victim Services Team Lead works with the Community Programs Manager to develop, implement and oversee the provision of victim services to clients of Archway Society for Domestic Peace. The Team Lead ensures that all victims of crime are referred to the appropriate victim service program and that they are provided with navigation of the criminal justice and other relevant systems. The Team Lead supervises employees and volunteers and works closely with community partners on matters related to program delivery. The Team Lead recommends and implements program improvements, policies and procedures.

 

Hours of work: Part-time (28 hours/week)
Location: North Okanagan
Wage Range: $31 – $36/hr

Full-Time Victim Services Worker

Provides services to victims and witnesses of crime and/or trauma, assisting them to navigate the criminal justice, family law and other systems. Works to assess each referral and apply the appropriate response within all relevant policies and procedures. Supervises volunteers and triages referrals to the most appropriate worker. Ensures that victims of crime are given opportunities to address the effects of the crimes committed against them.

Hours of work: Regular Full-time (35 hours / week; MonFri 18pm)
Location: Lumby, BC
Wage Range: $25.50 – $28.50/hr

Transition House Support Workers – Casual

Provides support, security, advocacy, information and education crisis intervention and referrals to residents, and other women in the community who seek support by telephone or through drop in to the Transition House. Participates as part of the team responsible for the efficient functioning of the Transition House. On both an individual and group basis, the Transition House Worker enhances the quality of life for women and children by ensuring that their safety, legal, emotional, social and medical needs are met. Provides crisis intervention as needed to women and children staying at Casimir Court (Support to Young Parents).

Hours of work: Casual (on-call)
Location: Vernon
Wage Range: $23 – $26.50/hr
